Find out more about the Council’s digital gateway for customers

The Aberdeenshire Council website is a digital gateway that allows our customers to access information and online council services, but what makes it successful? ‘Creating a customer centred website’ is an interactive presentation which will be facilitated by James McIntosh and Chris Leonard from the Website Redevelopment Team as part of Transformation 2014 at Woodhill House on Tuesday 2 September.

This session will provide a great opportunity for conference delegates to learn about how to create a customer centred website, and all employees are encouraged to sign up for the conference and come along.

Ruth Mellis who’s leading the Website Redevelopment Project explains: “The two key components to an excellent website are the design and content on the site. Our team is currently engaging will all areas of the Council to take forward a review and cleanse of the current content on the site.

“Did you know we currently have 11,000 pages on the website and in the last year we have had 21 million page views? Come along to this session to learn more amazing facts! There will also be the opportunity to help predict current user behaviour.”

This one hour interactive presentation will cover three key areas:

1. Think mobile first

2. Website accessibility

3. What is good quality content?

There will also be the opportunity to ask the team any questions about the website and its contents and anything you would like to know about the latest technologies and trends.
