To all Recruiting Managers – changes now LIVE!

As from this morning (Thursday, 23 April 2015) the changes detailed below are now live.

To support you during this change a Recruiting Managers User Manual is available.

It can also be accessed via the Recruiting pages on Arcadia.

Any queries should be directed to the askHR Support Desk on (01224) 664040.

What are the changes?

Those of you who attended TalentLink training at the end of 2014/beginning of 2015 were made aware that the way in which the Recruitment Administration team administer your vacancies was going to be changing.

What does it mean for me?

We’ve listened to the feedback that Recruiting Managers have given us and from April 23 you will:

– log new recruitment requests via the askHR self-service portal (this replaces the current word document)

– carry out other key actions via the portal (this replaces email communication) by informing the Recruitment Team when you have:

o   selected candidates for interview and decided interview details

o   selected your preferred candidate(s)

o   agreed a starting date

– keep track of your ongoing vacancies via the portal

– be more informed as the Recruitment Team will send you more emails notifying you when e.g. references have been received, disclosure is complete, eligibility is checked

Why are these changes being implemented?

The benefits associated with these changes include:

– The Recruitment Team will be able to deal with your request in a more efficient manner as the timing and accuracy of the incoming information will be improved upon

– You will be more aware of what is happening with your request via more frequent update emails and the ability to check the status of your request via the portal

Requests logged prior to April 23 will be handled using the current system, meaning this will be phased out over the next few months. Any new requests will have to be requested using the portal or by calling askHR on (01224) 664040. If you send a request via the old email method from the April 23 this will not be accepted and you will be asked to log it via the portal.

A manual will be issued to guide you through what you need to do and how to do it.

Please note, permanently advertised posts will remain on the existing method for the moment.  They will move on to the new system a short time after.
