Rail services expected to be limited next week – please register with Scotrail for updates

Significant disruption to rail services across Scotland (and UK-wide) is expected on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 May due to industrial action by rail service employees.

Timetables for both days are being finalised and a dedicated website is set up at www.scotrail.co.uk/strike where information will be posted in the run up to and throughout the first part of next week. Amended passenger timetables will be uploaded to Scotrail’s JourneyCheck service and their online app closer to the days of action. You can register for both the JourneyCheck service and download the app on the website.

It is possible that services will not run at all in large parts of the country so if you travel by rail please register with Scotrail’s JourneyCheck service on the website and download the Scotrail app. This will help to ensure you’re kept fully up to speed.

Please note: Employees who have rail tickets booked through the council’s Corporate Travel team for travel on 25 or 26 May will be contacted directly to discuss alternative travel options. For any further information on your corporate travel arrangements, email travel@aberdeenshire.gov.uk or call 01224 664800.
