Article Body:

By autumn, wireless internet access will be available at 20 other council sites, with more buildings being added as the roll-out continues.

To use the service in Woodhill House:

  1. Go to the wifi setting on your device
  2. Click on myaccountWiFi
  3. Log in using your myaccount username and password

If you haven’t already registered for myaccount, click on the red ‘register’ button in the top right-hand corner of the council’s website and follow the instructions. Then repeat the above process to connect to wifi.

As well as being able to access the council’s wireless network, myaccount lets you sign up for job alerts and, if you live in Aberdeenshire, top up school meal payments, receive notifications of school closures, check your next bin collection date or find your nearest recycling centre. So, if wifi is not yet available in your office or site you can still sign up for myaccount and take advantage of these benefits.

There are many more ways that myaccount can be used to support staff and customers. If you think of a service that could potentially be linked to it, please contact Kerry Thorneycroft from the project team.

Please note: the system requires you to sign in each day as the access points only validates each user for 24 hours.
