Fairtrade Fortnight continues

Article Body:

Fairtrade Fortnight is a fun-filled time of the year, when campaigners, businesses, schools and places of worship show their support for the farmers and workers who grow our food in developing countries.

Aberdeenshire Council will join forces with many other communities and businesses throughout Aberdeenshire, Scotland and the UK by celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight.  For the next two weeks our canteens at Woodhill House and Gordon House will have offers featuring Fairtrade snacks, bananas, juice, tea and coffee as we show our support for the farmers who grow some of our break time staples.

Look out for special deals, a competition draw and games during Fairtrade Fortnight.

Don’t forget that fairly traded and ethically sourced products are available year round in our canteens as part of Aberdeenshire Council’s commitment to being a Fairtrade Zone.
