Election staff still wanted for Scottish Independence Referendum 2014

Most of you will be aware that a referendum on Scottish independence is taking place on September 18 this year.

The Council’s Election Team is currently processing responses from those who have already expressed an interest in staffing polling stations across Aberdeenshire at this historic event and will be in touch with them shortly.

The referendum requires a much greater number of polling staff than the recent European Parliament Elections due to the increased number of polling stations and the expectation of a very high turnout.

A number of vacancies still need to be filled; details of the locations of these posts can be seen below.

Anyone who would like to be part of the Election Team at the Referendum and who hasn’t yet expressed an interest can do so by e-mailing the relevant local team via the e-mail addresses given.

Please give your name, address and all email/telephone contact details, indicating which location you’d like to be considered for.
