What is commercial excellence? – Take part in the second cross council webinar with PACE

PACE (Procurement Achieving Commercial Excellence) has been working away behind the scenes the last few months preparing for Aberdeen City and Shire Council’s revamped approach to commercial procurement.  Over the coming months you’ll be hearing a lot more about PACE as systems, tools and frameworks set up by the team come closer to completion, optimising our methods of buying goods and services to better serve the residents of the northeast.

Following the “PACE – What do you want to know?” webinar, which was a first of its kind broadcast across both councils, “What is commercial excellence” takes a look at how we define the term, why thinking more like a business will be beneficial to the councils and at some of the organisations taking a fresh approach to conventional models.

“What is commercial excellence?” will be broadcast from Aberdeen City Council on Tuesday 7 July 2015 at 1pm with PACE Programme Manager Carol Wright and Strategic Commercial Manager Robert Leask.

You can ask questions live during the webinar, however there is also an opportunity to put questions to Robert and Carol when you register for the event online. It is available from any device, whether it’s connected to the councils’ networks or not, and managers are encouraged to make provisions available for any employee who’d like to participate but doesn’t have their own council machine.

Teams are also asked to allow employees the time to participate as far as possible. A recording of the webinar will be made available shortly afterwards, so if you are unable to attend, sign up and ask any questions you have beforehand.
