Policies in Practice workshops update

A number of Policies in Practice (PiP) workshops are now available to book across Aberdeenshire for 2016, to help you apply the council’s HR policies more effectively.

The course options now include a new disciplinary guidance workshop, which will provide a full overview of the disciplinary process giving clear direction on the policy, procedure and sources of support. Dates are available to book on ALDO. The standard attendance management workshop has now been revised to reflect the implementation of our new occupational health provider and gives detailed guidance on how to get the most from the referral process.

You can choose from 2.5-hour sessions in work performance management and 2-hour sessions in employee annual reviews. Workshops can be tailored to support the specific needs of your service and teams depending on what your priorities are. Bookings for these face-to-face workshops can be made via the course pages on ALDO, the council’s online training solution. If you require a username and password for ALDO, email training.courses@aberdeenshire.gov.uk giving your employee number, full name and email address.

In order to ensure that we provide the most effective support we have developed a short questionnaire which will help us continue to shape Policies in Practice for the council to ensure this support adds value and is fit for purpose.  Your feedback is important to us and we would therefore very much welcome your views, so please complete the survey now.
