A Manager's Odyssey

​The Leadership and Management team have just launched A Manager’s Odyssey, a new ALDO module developed for those newly promoted to manager level posts and those managers new to Aberdeenshire Council to help guide them through the early months in the new job. 

The module is designed to be a resource that managers and supervisors can consult in their early days in post and then return to, refreshing their memories as they need.  It provides links to external information as well as other appropriate ALDO modules and face to face workshops, it also links to HR Policies and Procedures.

Managers who would like to attend a face to face workshop session that complements what is discussed in A Manager’s Odyssey are, in the first instance, recommended to look at the Manager’s Survival Kit workshop, which deals with many of the themes introduced in the online material and allows managers to discuss their issues and share their experiences with others in the same position.
