We’re proud of our workforce and want our employees to know that they’ll be supported by a fair organisation that values them.
We aspire to be the best council, aiming to provide excellent services for all. You can find out more about who we are and what we do by viewing messages on ALDO from our Chief Executive, Jim Savege, Leader, Jim Gifford and members of the Senior Management Team.
Please note that to access ALDO you will need a username and password which can be obtained from Employee Learning & Development by emailing training.courses@aberdeenshire.gov.uk and supplying your name, service, payroll number, and your Aberdeenshire email address.
You can read more about the council structure and leadership on our website but if you still have questions or concerns, please talk to your line manager. If they can’t help they’ll point you in the direction of someone who can.
Within your first few weeks at the council you’ll be expected to undertake the corporate induction; an important part of welcoming you and helping you settle into your job.
If your manager hasn’t spoken to you about attending the corporate induction, please make sure you mention it to them as it’s important you attend as early as possible.
Your own service should complement this with a service-specific induction, bridging the gap between the knowledge and skills you bring and those you may need for your new role.
By working together and providing appropriate learning and development opportunities, we believe that both our employees and the organisation as a whole will continue to deliver the excellent services at the heart of our vision.
