Face-to-Face Interpretation & Translation of Documents – Temporary Arrangements

Face-to-Face Interpretation & Translation of Documents – Temporary Arrangements

Due to increasing demand Aberdeen City Council are not in a position to provide interpretation and translation service at present. This is a temporary situation and the expectation is that it will resume in due course.

As an interim solution, services can use One World Lingo and GREC In-Trans Service.

One World Lingo contact details are: oneworldlingo@gmail.com

In-Trans Service information is available here

Language Line Solutions are Aberdeenshire Council’s supplier for the telephone interpretation service if this is a suitable alternative to face to face interpretation. Substantial savings are available under a new contract as a result of a recent procurement exercise. In situations where the issue at hand concerns a straightforward matter, and where a face to face translation could be poorly utilised, an interpreter can be engaged. The maximum duration for a telephone based interpretation service is 30 minutes. Each council service has its own Access Code to Language Line. Direct dial to the Language line solution contact number:- 0845 310 9900

Language Line also provide document translation services, details are available here.

Please be aware the council does not have a contract in place with Language Line Solutions for the translation of documents.
