HR System changes coming soon

During November, ICT will begin the process of withdrawing Lotus Notes based applications and services whilst also introducing more modern and robust equivalents. This process includes changes to the following HR systems:Sickness absence reportingFrom Monday, November 10 sickness absence will be reported directly into EMIS. All employees who have reported an absence through Lotus Notes within the last two years will be set up on the reporting system in EMIS; others will be able to request authorisation as required. Further guidance and training materials will be provided in late October.Recording of accidents and Health and Safety incidents

An improved method of reporting accidents and incidents will be in place from Monday, November 10. All employees who have reported an accident and/or health and safety incident through Lotus Notes within the last two years will be set up to use the new system; others will be able to request authorisation as required. Further guidance and training materials will be made available in late October.Booking training

From the end of October, there will be a new way of searching and booking training through ALDO. All existing bookings will be transferred onto ALDO by the end of the month and future places will be reserved by individuals. The training administration team will deal with bookings for people who do not have ALDO accounts and for those requiring block bookings. Further guidance and training materials will be made available by late October.

These initial HR system changes will allow the council to best meet the needs of staff and will result in more efficient administration of each of these areas.
